Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing items from our Sweet Girl Paper Pack, which just came out on May 1. We have various projects created by talented Close to my Heart Consultants. I am first in the Blog Hop, please continue on after checking out my projects.
For this Paper Pack, I made a scrapbook layout and a Mother’s Day card. I love the subtle colors of this paper pack!
For the scrapbook layout, I completed the first layout of the Workshops Your Way Scrapbooking Kit, with some small modifications. Here are the three layouts that come in the kit:
For my layout, I wanted to change things up and take out the wood grain animals, because I wanted a different look. Instead, I used the Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts, which are AMAZING. They add so much detail to the page, and with the two-toned cardstock, it is easy to add depth using the different colors.
Here is a closer look at each page:
And close ups of some details:
Next, I created a simple Mother’s Day card.
I used the Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts and the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts. So simple, but still beautiful! I used the clear shimmer brush to add some sparkle to the flower, and a gold glitter gem for the center. I also added a strip of the coordinating paper to the envelope flap to dress it up. For the card sentiments, I used “Wishing you a very happy” from a retired stamp set called A Birthday in Watercolor. “Mother’s Day” is from another retired stamp set (one of my personal favorites!) called A Little Everything.
I hope you enjoyed my projects from the Sweet Girl Paper Pack! I have listed the supplies needed to complete these projects yourself, with links to my website if you would like to purchase the supplies. If you need a current Idea Book, please message me and I can send one to you!
