For the Boutique paper pack, I made two layouts for my daughter’s first birthday pictures.

For this layout, I used Make It From Your Heart, Volume 3 Pattern 4.

For the second layout, I used Pattern 3 from the Workshops Your Way Kit. I loved the paper strips behind the pictures!

Supplies used:

Workshops Your Way Boutique Scrapbooking Kit

Erin’s Hand Stamp Set

Silver Shimmer Trim

Clear Sparkles

Shimmer Brush–Clear

Shimmer Brush–Bashful

Documented Blog Hop

Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing items from our Documented Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close To My Heart Consultants. If you are visiting from Haley’s blog, then you are on the right track!

This paper pack is my FAVORITE one in this Idea Book! I love the floral print and the colors in it! For this Blog Hop, I completed 4 cards to share. I used patterns from Make It From Your Heart, Volume 4. I love to make cards to unwind and relax, but am sometimes too overwhelmed at the thought of forming creative ideas on my own. That’s why I LOVE this How-To book–I can still create and have fun, but don’t have to do any thinking about how to most efficiently use paper. 🙂

Central Park Blog Hop

Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing items from our Central Park Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close To My Heart Consultants. If you are visiting from Haley’s blog, then you are on the right track!

When I saw this paper packet and the hot air balloons featured in it, I knew I had to create a layout with it! One of our family’s favorite things to do during the summer is to go to the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic. We leave super early in the morning (like 2 am!) and drive to see the balloons launch. It’s an amazing experience–the balloons are blown up right before you and launched. They do a Dawn Patrol Launch also, where the balloons “glow” because you can see the fire when it’s still dark outside. Later in the morning, more balloons are launched. It’s an awesome experience and our whole family LOVES it!

I wanted this layout to be very minimalist, because I wanted the pictures to be the main focus. I loved the sunburst background paper and thought it was a perfect base for the layout. I let the pictures steal the show and added just a few embellishments.

I used layout Pattern 24 from Make it From Your Heart Volume 3 and Workshops Your Way Central Park Scrapbooking Kit for this project.

Next, check out Ramona’s project! I hope you enjoy the Central Park Paper as much as I did!

Stargazer Blog Hop

Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing items from our Stargazer Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close To My Heart Consultants. If you are visiting from Carol’s blog, then you are on the right track!

For my project, I created two cards. I LOVE this Paper pack! The colors are so fun and I love the different patterns.

I created the first card while my kids were playing at the park. I love prepping all the pieces for my cards and bringing the project along to work on when I have free time.

Here is the finished card:

For my second card, I sponged the circle in the background because I wanted it to look like space. I used Pacifica and Sapphire inks and varied in the intensity of the color so it was more splotchy and space like.

I also stamped the sentiment inside the card.

Supplies used (for both projects):

G1147 Workshops Your Way Stargazer Scrapbooking Kit

Z4157 Stargazer Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cuts (on sale during the month of March!)

X7229D Stargazer Coordinating Cardstock

Z3325 Blue Burlap Ribbon

Z2892 Pacifica Ink

Z2848 Sapphire Ink

Z2805 Black Ink

Z2452 ShinHan Golden Yellow Marker

Make Waves Blog Hop

Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing items from our Make Waves Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close to My Heart consultants. If you are visiting from Carol’s blog then you are on the right track.

For my project, I created 3 cards. This paper pack is a lot of fun! I have listed the supplies needed for each card. You can shop here if you’d like to create these cards yourself.

Card 1: Have a Sunny Day

I used pattern 4 from Make it From Your Heart, Volume 4. I stamped the small flowers, colored them with the ShinHan markers, and added the Clear Shimmer Brush for some sparkle. And aren’t the accents at the bottom the cutest? I love the flowers! I also LOVE the February Stamp of the Month–isn’t that script BEAUTIFUL? It is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets.

Supplies Used:

G1143 Workshops Your Way Make Waves Scrapbooking Kit

Z3024 White Shimmer Trim

D1764 Make Waves–Scrapbooking

S1802 Sunny Thoughts (February Stamp of the Month)

Z2805 Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad

Z2461 Peacock Green ShinHan Marker

Z2453 Lavender ShinHan Marker

Z3293 Clear Shimmer Brush

Card 2: Stardust and Wishes

In the Seasonal Expressions catalog, there is a scrapbook layout on page 29 that has a mermaid tail look. When I saw this idea, I loved it, so I designed a card with the same idea. I cut several circles at 1 1/4″, then layered them to get the scale look. I colored the mermaid and the words “stardust” and “magical” with watercolor pencils and accented with the Clear Shimmer Brush.

Supplies Used:

G1143 Workshops Your Way Make Waves Scrapbooking Kit

X7227D Make Waves Coordinating Cardstock

D1764 Make Waves–Scrapbooking

Z2805 Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad

3505 Watercolor Pencils (currently unavailable)

Z3293 Clear Shimmer Brush

Card 3: Hello Sunshine

This card is similar to card 1, with variation in the paper.

Supplies Used:

G1143 Workshops Your Way Make Waves Scrapbooking Kit

D1764 Make Waves–Scrapbooking

S1802 Sunny Thoughts (February Stamp of the Month)

Chelsea Gardens Blog Hop

Welcome to our Chelsea Gardens Blog Hop! It’s the first month of the Seasonal Expressions, and we will be showcasing items from our Chelsea Gardens Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close to My Heart consultants. If you are visiting from Gerri’s blog, then you are on the right track.

For my project, I wanted to create a cute, functional way to store my daughter’s hair bows. She is 5 months now (which explains my absence from my blog) and has oodles of hair bows. We have a monthly bow subscription box, with ADORABLE bows from Little Poppy Co. With so many bows, I needed a cute way to store them because they are EVERYWHERE. Here are a few pictures of sweet baby Grace and her bows.

Isn’t she the cutest? I know.

Back to the project. I had a large cardboard container that I knew would be perfect for this project.  I measured paper from the Chelsea Gardens Paper Pack to cover the container and adhered the paper using a thin layer of Mod Podge underneath the paper. I used the Chelsea Gardens Complements to add some accents.  I had some flowers leftover from the Love Letter kit I ordered to make for Grace’s room, so I used two of them as well. On the flowers, I used the Clear Shimmer Brush. If you haven’t tried the shimmer brush, you are missing out! It adds sparkle to projects without the mess of glitter. It is a must have! It also comes in Gold and Bashful. I added a Gem to the center of each flower.

I wanted to keep the container fairly simple, because I wanted to be able to store some bows on the outside of the container for easy access. Bows can also be stored inside.

Here are some details of the project.

Below are the products used in this project. The stamp set is the February Stamp of the Month, available for just $5 with a $50 purchase during the month of February.  I LOVE the script writing in the sentiments!
